SUMMER CAMPS

CAMP SCHEDULE:  We are a completely mobile day camp. We purposely do not adhere to a set schedule or a calendar in advance. Please feel free to ask us for our tentative plans when you drop off your child each morning. PLEASE NOTE 4/1/21: Due to mandates set forth by the CDC and SFDPH, not all activities or places that we have visited will be available for summer 2021.  As alway, your the children's safety is our top priority. We will still provide our own brand of unique mobile day camps for your child.

 

ABSENCE:  If your child is going to be absent from camp, email or text us no later than 7:30 AM that morning. There are no refunds, credits or make-ups for missed days.

 

LATE PICK UPS:  Please be on time to drop off and pick-up your children.  Our vans have a schedule and can not be late. If you miss the van in the morning, please text us to make arrangements. If you are late to pick up your child in the afternoon, there will be a minimum fee of $50 to drive a child home plus late charges ($1 per minute)   Late charges must be paid at the time you pick up your child. Please make sure whoever picks up your child knows our location and parking procedures, they are listed in the confirmation email as well as on this website.

EMERGENCY TREATMENT:  In the unlikely event that your child requires any emergency medical treatment, our policy is to call the parents and the child’s doctor, and then take them to the nearest emergency room or urgent care. Parents are responsible for paying any and all medical expenses, which may be incurred while your child is at camp. By registering for Adventure Camps online, you have agreed to our refund policy and emergency procedures. ​My child has permission to participate in the activities of Adventure Camps. I hereby consent to any medical treatment deemed necessary in the event of an emergency. I understand that I am responsible for paying any and all medical expenses that may be incurred while my child is at camp. Adventure Camps and it’s staff shall not be held liable for any accidents that may occur while my child is at camp, or any actions taken during emergency or medical procedures. I understand that Adventure Camps is a completely mobile day camp and that there is not a calendar or schedule of activities available in advance. Adventure Camps has my permission to use any photos and video taken during camp for promotional purposes. 

REFUND POLICY: 

​SUMMER CAMP: With the exception of a $300 non refundable registration fee per session, the remaining tuition is refundable up until May 15th. After that time, there are no refunds, make up days or credits for any reason including illness, withdrawal, dismissal, weather, natural disasters or pandemics. This also applies to registrations  for a 2 or 3 week session, If you miss any days or even weeks in that session, they are not available for refunds or credits. (No exceptions).

COVID-19 Updates

  • At Adventure Camps, safety has always been our highest priority. As we welcome campers back to celebrate our 50th year, here are eight new safety measures you can expect to see this summer:

    • 1) Reduced camp capacity to increase spacing in our vans, following social distancing guidelines

    • 2) Temperature checks upon arrival at camp

    • 3) Open air environment / Van windows will be open at all times to increase outdoor air circulation

    • 4) Decreased contact between groups 

    • 5) Masks are required at camp at all times, both inside the vans and outdoors (except when eating and drinking)

    • 6) No sharing food / Campers will bring their own lunch as well as their own snack each day

    • 7) Sanitizing / Frequent hand washing and sanitizing before and after eating, and before transitioning to new activities

    • 8) Elevated disinfecting measures for our fleet of vans

 

  • Symptom Screening

    • Staff and campers are screened every day before camp starts and are instructed to stay home if sick or if they have been exposed to someone with COVID-19

    • If showing COVID-19 symptoms, they are recommended to get a covid test

    • Temperatures are checked with a temperature gun before entering the vans in the morning

    • Staff and campers who feel sick during the day will be sent home

  • Sanitation

    • Staff and campers wash their hands & use sanitizer frequently, including before & after eating and before transitioning to new activities

    • Our vans are completely disinfected and sanitized each day

  • Contact Reduction

    • Our camp size has reduced this summer to improve social distancing

    • Campers will not be allowed to share lunch or snacks

    • Groups have their own supplies & shared items will be limited

    • All campers and staff wear masks at all times except while eating, and are provided with masks if needed
